Keep in mind that its often quite easy to create patterned effects on a driveway when you use paving bricks. Choosing two complementary colours and creating a border effect can help to form a bit of a frame around your driveway area. Its also possible to create smaller patterns of opposing coloured bricks in the centre of a larger driveway. The paving used for pathways is often not as thick as those used for traffic areas. These usually come in a 40mm thickness. Its usually quite easy to match your pathways to whatever colour scheme youve chosen for your driveway. This helps to tie in your outdoor landscaping features into a matching theme which enhances the look of your home.
Pavers are used to construct patios outdoor steps pathways driveways retaining walls and other landscapes etc. For people who do not want to install their own paves some contractors and landscapers will happily perform this service. Pavers can be used for glass clay tile and brick cut stone and plastic. Pavers are available in different shapes sizes colors and textures. If you see Multicolored brick go well in the driveway of a Mediterranean style home. If you want to install pavers in your house or office it takes some time and effort. First thing that you should do is map the area so that a pattern can be devised. Then ground has to be cut leveled so that pavers can be installed on a flat surface. Next the pavers are carefully arranged in the desired pattern and compacted so that they sit evenly.
Power wash brick paver areas using a 2700 psi power washer or greater. You may or may not need to use a paver cleaner during this process. Sweep joint sand into all the joints of the pavers and water down with a light spray from a garden hose. Sweep sand and water down a second time to ensure joints are full of joint sand. Once dry confirm joints are full with joint sand and move on to the next step. Having these joints completely filled and compacted will help maintain paver stability. Apply a joint stabilizing sealer on all the paver areas. The sealer hardens the sand which helps prevent water intrusion in the joints and insects digging through it! Follow the instructions of the manufacturer on how to apply sealer.
Once sealed the paver wears a clean and glossy look. If you have used color pigment while laying the paver or a naturally colored stone then a coat on it enhances the appearance of the color. Sealers that use UV protection elements prevent fading of the paver due to exposure to sunlight. Further since sealing pavers keeps them protected from effervescence and formation of microorganisms they look well maintained and clean because of which the appearance of not only your paver but also your entire house or office is enhanced. If the estimate for sealing your paver inclines slightly to the higher side you do get discouraged. Think of it as an investment that gets you great returns.
