Is your current concrete driveway ancient discoloured and cracked? Perhaps the pathways around your home are crumbling? It may be time to consider switching to outdoor pavers. Outdoor pavers are ideal for enhancing the look of any home. The range of colours and styles available mean its quite easy to create a visually appealing style that is uniquely your own. Choose complementing colour schemes to highlight the colours on your home or create a contrasting look that accents it instead. Paving is durable and versatile so its practical for use on driveways pathways patio areas or around swimming pools or entertaining areas.
In addition having objects within the area may cause you harm as they may fly around and strike in case you accidentally hit them with the water coming from your pressure water cleaner. To make the cleanup process faster finding the right end to start with is advisable. Always consider the slope of the pathway in deciding where to start as this will determine how the water will flow - sideways or downwards. The dirt and stains will be easily washed off if the water flows according to the force of gravity. Doing this is not recommended unless your outdoor pavers have not been cleaned for many years. Alternatively you may use a steaming water to get rid of the dirt and stains on the surface.
Interlocking concrete pavers offer flexibility moving in unison with the earth below them thus avoiding serious damage. Stone pavers are mined for quarries. They have different qualities when compared to concrete and brick because they are more expensive than their manufactured cousins. But they are preferred choice for all external paving needs. Interlocking pavers can be installed very easily because they dont require mortar. They are made up of cement or concrete. These can cover any patio decking driveway or walkway. Brick pavers are made up of cement sand fine aggregates and water which is mixed together and fired in a kiln at high temperatures to produce the finished product. Brick pavers are highly versatile durable and strong.
Apply a paver sealer if applicable and if desired. There are many options when choosing paver sealers. Some will have a glossy wet look which often darkens the color of you pavers (which you may or may not desire). Some paver sealers have a matte finish while others are completely invisible. The sealer creates a durable barrier against liquid absorption on the paver itself (as opposed to the joint stabilizing sealer which hardens the joint sand). Brick paver sealers will help prevent staining and will keep your pavers looking cleaner for a much longer period of time. Some high end pavers have a stain resistant surface and this step is unnecessary. Follow the instructions of the sealers manufacturer on how to apply it properly.
